My 21st birthday celebration should be more accurately described as a celebration of how fortunate I am, to have such kinship, friendship and love. The love overwhelmed me, and touched me deep in the core of my heart.

The chalet was booked 3 months ago, and invites sent out at the beginning of August. I began getting excited 2 weeks before the party, and Hong said I was mad. But they're even madder, already conspiring in mid August to surprise me.

On Friday, the night before the party, I met Yinjie, Hong, Weeinn and Alfred to go down to the chalet together. Original plan was to play 1 or 2 rounds of mahjong then get a good rest. Happy Weeinn=p

In the end, I slept at 3am, they at 6am.

In between they polished off some very nice tarts!
Alfred says he like to play mahjong with us! Must be cause he win our money. hahaha

Saturday morning 080907, we woke up late morning and did deco. Balloon in-charge Alfred pumped balloons, and also designed the guest-board, with input from us, and at the request of Weeinn. My balloon in-charge!

And when finally, the decoration in-charge Yinjie woke up, we started getting busy. Leen and Tingyan joined us for lunch and then helped out in hanging streamers, banners and balloons. We cut and pasted letterings, climbed up and down, shifted furniture to and fro, making frantic adjustments for the karaoke equipment. Yinjie and Eileen doing the staircase deco.

Then finally, I was ordered up to bathe while they finish up.

By the time I finished bathing, the deco of the chalet was done, and the attention then shifted to decorating me. =p Isn't the staircase nice? Colourful balloons! The festive and 'kindergarten 'looking' window. hahaThe beautiful entrance!

This is where Miss Lala, makeup in-charge, started her official duty. Her very pro makeup kit. Amazing!

She powdered and i blushed, and quite soon I was ready.

The food arrived, and people started arriving soon after.Each and every person had to write the guest-board and take a photo with me, before allowing entry.

Jocelyn, Meixing, Jianwei and Weili then arrived together, with a lovely bouquet of lilies, from the class. Singing of birthday song. Never really took so many solo photos before. Making a wish. Simple wish actually, hope it comes true. Family photo. A photo I treasure alot. Extended family photo. My sisters of 9 years. The only person from CDS who came, thanks girl! The one solid friend I made in JC. My most beloved class-2B'2000. The boys. The girls. Think Lynette and Weeinn going to be absorbed into 2b soon. haha Weeinn and Alfred, nearly forgot to take photo with them, so sorry!Cutting the cake! The ultimate cheaters! 6 people write one message!! No wonder my message board still got quite a lot of space! The latecomer number 1, Guangyang, who luckily still had cake to eat. I took like 5 photos with him just to get a nice one. haha

Presents from my relatives. Tangs & Popular vouchers. Braun Buffel wallet and a card from my cousin. I like this! A very nice charm bracelet from my 3rd aunt, consisting of a tiger, a star, a key, and the letters MH.

From 2B. Mooncakes, flowers, pore cleanser, Citigems necklace, message book. The message book surprised me! I didn't expect to have so many people each writing a page of birthday message for me, and every single page a tribute to the 9 years of friendship we've shared. Somemore, Guangyang designed the artistic cover page, and there were quite many pages that were nicely decorated! I love this present, which no money can buy.

Okok, finally going to conclude my longest ever blog entry.

For making my 21st birthday so memorable, I thank the following people.
-First and foremost, my parents and brother, for organising and preparing the party. Also for loving me all these 21 years, in spite of my flaws, and helping shape me into who I am today.
-My extended family, for putting so much effort in the presents and personally attending the party.
-My sisters, hong, yinjie, tingyan, leen, weeinn and alfred. For decorating the chalet so beautifully and sharing my excitement. You made the party special, and you made me feel special. I could not have done this without you. I am blessed to have you as friends. 9 years of friendship already, and we shall continue this strong and loving friendship.
-Gen and Gil, for coming down even though you have to work on Sunday. Thanks for always being there, giving me support. Hugs!
-Evan & Wing, for coming down alone amongst all the CDS people. For all the fun we had together, just us two, as well as with my family. I love you babe!
-2B. You people are the people I shall always hold close to my heart. Never knew the outings I organised helped to bond us so closely together. Thanks for letting me know we will always stay together.
